Unison Music School was formally launched in November 2003 and has a success story of producing quite a number of Young musicians.  Every Year around 35 students appear fro Trinity College of Music , London Grade Examinations.  Unison dB 120 Classical Light Music orchestra was launched in the Year 2008 for giving an opportunity for our students to perform on the stage.  So far Unison has rendered music for more than 100 events for   Marriage and other family functions.

Unison conducted a one of its kind Keyboard Music Competition where 30 different schools across Chennai Participated. Unison has planned Annual Music concert and also distribution of awards and Trinity Certificates on Sunday June 8th evening at Russian Center of Science and Culture,Chennai. All the viewers of this blog are cordially invited to attend this event. We welcome you to join and have great experience of learning music with Unison.

Raj Vasanthan, Music Technologist is committed to direct Music Instruction and professional Development for the past 15 years.  He received his first lesson from his father and before he was 20, became a performer in the concerts. He was trained by late Sri Somiajulu and later by  Sri Thiruvaroor Sethuraman in carnatic Music Tamilnadu Government offered on him the Certificate for merit in singing.  He entered Trinity College of Music, London as external student and after  5 years of study became the scholar in piano and music composition.  He specialized music composition and conducted several successful programs. His first studio recording was with Dr. Balamuralikrishna.  He was introduced to the Film Field by late Sri.G..K.Venkatesh and later became Music Director. He was appointed as Music Teacher in several schools, Colleges and private Institutions and has now found his own Keyboard School. He holds Master’s degree in Political Science & Human Rights and serves as Resource Person in Colleges and Government In-plant Training Centers.

·       Keyboard is the best instrument for children to begin their musical study with.

·       Keyboard has fixed layout, ensuring notes and sounds which can be identified easily and accurately.

·       The important elements of music such as melody, harmony and rhythm can all be  expressed by one child playing at the keyboard.

·       Group learning is the most ideal style.  Students being together motivate each other, while at the same time creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere of  learning.

·       Ear Test – the fastest way of to acquire the language of music for 4 to 7 years child is to learn through the ear.

·       Parent Participation  - Unison value the support of Parents and gives feed back through report cards given to the students.  This enables the parent to supervise home practice more effectively.
