Sept 2014 Dear Parents/Students/Readers                                         Celebration of Vijayadasami 2014 You are aware that Unison will celebrate Vijayadasami with usual devotion in Karnataka Sanga School, Habibullah Road, T. Nagar.   This Year on Oct 3rd at 9:00 all students, Parents and Well wishers are requested to be present and participate in the Pooja  and get the blessing of Almighty. Venue: First Floor, Karnataka Sanga School, 111 Habibullah Road, T. Nagar Those who are desirous of getting their wards admitted in our esteemed institution are welcome. Unisonstudents who are already in roll may receive new lessons. Unison has its own Classical Light music band by name 120dB.  To celebrate the birth anniversary of M.S. Unison Music School was formally launched in November 2003 and has a success story of producing quite a number of Young musicians.  Every Year around 35 students appear fro Trinity College of Music , London Grade Examinations.  Unison dB 120 Classical Light Music orchestra was launched in the Year 2008 for giving an opportunity for our students to perform on the stage.  So far Unison has rendered music for more than 100 events for   Marriage and other family functions.

Unison conducted a one of its kind Keyboard Music Competition where 30 different schools across Chennai Participated. Unison has planned Annual Music concert and also distribution of awards and Trinity Certificates on Sunday June 8th evening at Russian Center of Science and Culture,Chennai. All the viewers of this blog are cordially invited to attend this event. We welcome you to join and have great experience of learning music with Unison.

Raj Vasanthan, Music Technologist is committed to direct Music Instruction and professional Development for the past 15 years.  He received his first lesson from his father and before he was 20, became a performer in the concerts. He was trained by late Sri Somiajulu and later by  Sri Thiruvaroor Sethuraman in carnatic Music Tamilnadu Government offered on him the Certificate for merit in singing.  He entered Trinity College of Music, London as external student and after  5 years of study became the scholar in piano and music composition.  He specialized music composition and conducted several successful programs. His first studio recording was with Dr. Balamuralikrishna.  He was introduced to the Film Field by late Sri.G..K.Venkatesh and later became Music Director. He was appointed as Music Teacher in several schools, Colleges and private Institutions and has now found his own Keyboard School. He holds Master’s degree in Political Science & Human Rights and serves as Resource Person in Colleges and Government In-plant Training Centers.

Junior Music Course  (Age 7 to 12 years)

·       Keyboard is the best instrument for children to begin their musical study with.

·       Keyboard has fixed layout, ensuring notes and sounds which can be identified easily and accurately.

·       The important elements of music such as melody, harmony and rhythm can all be  expressed by one child playing at the keyboard.

·       Group learning is the most ideal style.  Students being together motivate each other, while at the same time creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere of  learning.

·       Ear Test – the fastest way of to acquire the language of music for 4 to 7 years child is to learn through the ear.

·       Parent Participation  - Unison value the support of Parents and gives feed back through report cards given to the students.  This enables the parent to supervise home practice more effectively.

UNISON STUDENT PERFORMED IN A GUINNESS RECORD MUSIC CONCERT WITH A GROUP OF 229 CHILDREN TELECAST

                                                                         

Dear Raj Vasanthan sir,

It is very pleasure to write this, your student .MURUDGAPERUMAL had successfully performed a Guinness record keyboard concert with a group of 229 children for “MUSIC FOR WORLD PEACE”. For this concert, six months ago he attended an audition and selected in the first list by Mr.M.S.Martin who conducted the programme. They have  practiced for the past six months.

We can realize how you train your students during the sessions when he perform with a group children. The knowledge you are feeding is taking them to a different level not only in the field of music but also in their personality.

It is a happy moment to us, when he entered into UNISON SCHOOL OF MUSIC TECHNOLOGY as a six year old boy with a small Casio keyboard. Initially you taught him Carnatic music. Your teaching methodology made him to learn VARNAMs with fast and full involvement.

At a stage you suggested to shift him to WESTERN MUSIC. The transition by you, made a lot of wonders with him. Whenever he got time, he used to practice your notes. With your continuous encouragement he scored top rank in LCM STEP -2  examination. After that with your full courage, a batch of children directly attend GRADE -2 examination in TRINITY COLLEGE OF MUSIC and scored high marks. This is possible only because of you Sir.

We must thanks a lot to you since UNISON SCHOOL OF MUSIC TECHNOLOGY is a source of platform for budding the creativity of many children. The concerts in UNIFEB and UNISON DAY conducted by you develop a different level of musical knowledge and make the children to stage friendly. These activities offer them to move front in their school and other competitions.
